Mentoring Program

The EACUBO Board of Directors is seeking mentors and mentees to participate in the ninth cohort of the EACUBO Mentoring Program, a yearlong, formal mentoring program that will begin on March 8, 2025, in conjunction with the EACUBO 2025 Workshop in Boston.

This engaging program will match experienced senior business and financial officers with individuals who aspire to advance their career toward top financial roles at higher education institutions. The program capitalizes on the skills and knowledge of EACUBO’s experienced leaders and their willingness to invest in building the strength and quality of the higher education business and finance administration profession. The program will also help institutions expand the pool of future business officers from diverse backgrounds and equip rising stars to serve and lead more diverse organizations.

How the Mentoring Program Works

  • Complete the mentee participation application, submit it along with your resume/curriculum vitae, and a letter of recommendation by January 31, 2025.
  • Submitted applications are reviewed, selections are made and invitations are sent to new mentees. Mentors are recruited and matched based on the positions, institution-types, locations and needs of the cohort of mentees.
  • As a mentee you will be involved both in one-on-one sessions with your mentor, as well as three formal sessions with all mentors and mentees in the cohort at the next three EACUBO events in March 2025, October 2025, and March 2026.
  • The group sessions will include presentations on various topics, group discussion, and informal networking.
  • In-person attendance at all three meetings is expected, and in-person participation in the first session is strongly encouraged.
  • In addition to these three cohort meetings, each mentor/mentee pair will develop their own schedule of meetings, usually monthly, throughout the year. These meetings may be in person or via Zoom.
  • Coordinators are available to assist anytime.

We are also seeking great mentors! If you are a senior business officer who would like to share your knowledge and expertise or know of someone who would be a great mentor, please let us know at [email protected].
