Romayne Botti
Vice President for Finance and Treasurer, Rockefeller University
Romayne L. Botti is the vice president for finance and treasurer of The Rockefeller University. A member of the senior executive team, she oversees the university’s annual operating budget of more than $400 million that supports its mission to conduct science for the benefit of humanity. Before joining Rockefeller, Romayne served as the vice chancellor for finance at Rutgers – New Brunswick. There she developed and managed a budget of $1.7 billion and provided close support to the chancellor and cabinet regarding the strategic use of resources as the university navigated the financial challenges of the pandemic. Prior to Rutgers, Romayne was chief financial and operating officer for the College of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, with oversight of the college’s global operations. She played a key role in bringing the college’s state-of-the-art nanotechnology facility to fruition, and cochaired development of the college’s strategic plan. Romayne currently serves on the boards of The Children’s Institute, the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers, the National Association of College and University Business Officers, and SAMCO.
