Neil J. Horgan is Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Villanova University. Mr. Horgan began at Villanova in 2000 as the University's Controller after spending the previous nine years at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. He was named Vice President for Finance in 2015, and Chief Financial Officer in 2021. He is responsible for strategic financial planning, stewardship of all of the University's assets and management of its liabilities, and oversight of financial operations. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Mercy Health System of Southeastern Pennsylvania and its Stewardship Committee, and currently serves on the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Georgetown University and a Master of Taxation from Villanova University.
