Myles Lawhorn is Director of Student Tuition Services at Community College of Philadelphia. He oversees student tuition accounts (billing, cashiering, scholarships, liaising with third party vendors, establishing and maintaining payment mechanisms, federal and state compliance pertaining to payments, and various other financial processes and procedures.

He also balances managing account receivables with enrollment management initiatives focused on bolstering enrollment and retention. Prior to joining CCP, he served as Director of Student Accounts at Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) in Mount Laurel, NJ. There, In addition to his role as Director of Student Accounts, he allocated time to assist the college with minority male initiatives and support. In his tenure at RCBC, he earned the college’s distinguished “Employee of the Year” award for 2020!

Prior to his role at RCBC, Mr. Lawhorn was a collections analyst and specialist at Drexel University. He also served on Drexel University’s Residence Life and Student Conduct Board where he adjudicated hearings and appeals related to student conduct sanctions at the university. Additionally, he served as a mentor for the Drexel University Liberty Scholars Program, which provides Philadelphians from mostly lower socio-economic means with access to quality education via scholarships.

Mr. Lawhorn has served on the planning committee for ECHEAO (East Coast Higher Education Assistance Organization) and has participated as a presenter and panelist at ECHEAO events as well as COHEAO (Coalition of Higher Education Assistance Organizations) events.

Mr. Lawhorn earned his undergraduate degree in Communications at Liberty University and his Master’s Degree in Higher Education at Drexel University. He is also a member of NACUBO (National Association of College and University Business Officers) and NASFAA (National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators).
