Colleen Perry Keith, Ph.D. is the 14th president (and first female president) in the 136-year history of Goldey-Beacom College. She assumed this role July 1, 2019.

With over 37 years of higher education experience, Dr. Keith served as president at Pfeiffer University in North Carolina from 2015-2019 and as president of Spartanburg Methodist College from 2009 – 2015. Prior to that, she worked in a variety of higher education and foundation positions in Ohio, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.

Dr. Keith currently serves on the The Partnership Board of Directors, the education affiliate of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Governors for the Delaware State Chamber, is chair of the Executive Board for Division II of the NCAA, chairs the board for Transform Mid-Atlantic (formerly Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic), is a board member of the Wilmington Rotary Club and serves on the board for the Roofs from the Heart Foundation, a Wilmington-based foundation dedicated to helping families that are in need of roof repair or replacement. She is a member of the Forum for Executive Women, the Fresh Start Scholarship Program and has a long history of service on various boards and committees, both professional and community.

Dr. Keith holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Binghamton University; Master of Education Degree in Education Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh; and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University. Dr. Keith lives in Wilmington with her husband Barry, a clinical social worker and their two English bulldogs: Daisy and Charlie. Her son, Tim and his wife Anna live in Silver Spring, MD and recently welcomed their first child, Michael, thereby launching Dr. Keith’s favorite role yet, that of grandmother!
